The Background

A recent customer survey evaluated the efficacy of our three shower steamer formulations, each designed for a distinct benefit: nasal decongestion, morning energy enhancement, and evening relaxation.
The survey, involving 150 regular users, indicated that the our concentrated aromatic blends produced notable subjective improvements in corresponding areas of daily wellness.

Methods

Participants (N = 150) were recruited from our existing customer base following their purchase of our shower steamers. A non-incentivized, self-administered online questionnaire was distributed to assess user experiences with the three different aromatic formulations. Participation was entirely voluntary, and no financial or material incentives were provided, ensuring that responses were based solely on personal experience.

To enable a comparative analysis, users were asked to alternate between one week of using the shower steamers and one week without their use. This crossover approach allowed participants to directly compare their experiences and report any differences in daily well-being:

  • Those experiencing nasal congestion were instructed to use the Breathe-ish Airways variant.
  • Participants seeking to boost morning alertness used the Vertical Takeoff formulation.
  • Individuals aiming for evening relaxation used the Smooth Landing steamer.

The questionnaire was structured into several sections:

  1. Demographic and Baseline Information: Participants provided age, gender, and details regarding their typical shower routine and previous experiences with aromatic products.
  2. Usage Protocol: Detailed instructions ensured that each participant used the product consistently over the evaluation period (e.g., using the Vertical Takeoff steamer during their morning shower and the Smooth Landing variant during their evening routine).
  3. Outcome Measures: The survey incorporated standardized, Likert-scale based questions to measure subjective improvements in:
    • Nasal patency for the Breathe-ish Airways group.
    • Morning energy and alertness for the Vertical Takeoff group.
    • Relaxation and sleep quality for the Smooth Landing group.
  4. Overall Satisfaction and Open-Ended Feedback: Participants provided qualitative feedback regarding their overall experience and any perceived changes in daily well-being.
    • Data were collected anonymously through a secure online platform. The collected responses were subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics to summarize the data, and inferential analyses (e.g.,
paired t-tests) were conducted to assess the significance of the reported improvements. This methodological approach allowed us to capture a detailed snapshot of customer-reported outcomes related
to the use of our shower steamers under real-world conditions.

What we found

Our customer survey revealed significant improvements in well-being when participants used our shower steamers compared to a week without them. Across all three formulations—Breathe-ish Airways, Vertical Takeoff, and Smooth Landing—users reported noticeable benefits in their respective focus areas: nasal congestion relief, morning energy, and relaxation before sleep.

Breathe-ish Airways
(Nasal Decongestion & Sinus Relief)

Participants who used the Breathe-ish Airways shower steamer experienced a 70% reduction in nasal congestion compared to their control week. Similarly, reports of sinus pressure decreased by 65%, indicating a strong decongestant effect. Users frequently described feeling clearer-headed and breathing more easily after their showers.

Vertical Takeoff
(Morning Energy & Alertness)

In the group using the Vertical Takeoff formulation, morning sluggishness dropped by 75%, and feelings of low energy in the morning were reduced by 80%. Participants noted feeling more refreshed, alert, and ready to start the day, with several mentioning that the invigorating scent made waking up a more pleasant experience.

Smooth Landing
(Evening Relaxation & Sleep Support)

For those incorporating the Smooth Landing steamer into their nighttime routine, difficulty falling asleep was reduced by 78%. Many participants reported feeling calmer and more at ease before bed, with some describing an easier transition into deep sleep.

Overall, our findings suggest that incorporating aromatic shower steamers into daily routines can lead to measurable improvements in respiratory comfort, morning energy, and relaxation. This non-incentivized survey, conducted in real-world conditions, highlights the potential of targeted aromatherapy to enhance well-being in a simple, enjoyable way.
